There are many good slides from Lawrence Yun’s talk at the Residential Real Estate Economic Issues and Trends Forum at the Realtors® Conference & Expo in Boston, MA, on November 2, 2018 and I look forward to studying all of them.

This forecast slide caught my eye.

NAR’s Chief of Economist is predicting a slight decrease, then slow and steady home sales through 2020. This projection, is based upon an increase in single family starts.

Lisa Stuetevant, in another presentation at the same conference showed this trend.

It appears that both concluded that “affordable housing” is really what they are referring too.

Look for affordable housing to be a huge topic in the coming years and of course, the risky loans that come with it.
